About SeaScape Sailing

So... who is SeaScape anyway?

We are a small, owner-operated company, based in the Greek islands. We started our "shareboat" trips in 1994, and have since taken our highly successful sailing concept to several other parts of the world - including Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, and Croatia.

In Greece/Turkey, our yachts range from 49' to 55' - all monohulls, built with Mediterranean weather conditions in mind - comfortable, spacious, solid cruising boats.

In Phuket, Thailand - we have a huge 55' sailing catamaran - her shallow draft and expansive deck/lounging space are perfect for the tropical climate.

So we can now offer our distinctive SeaScape sailing concept year-round; summers in Greece & Turkey, winters in Thailand & Malaysia!

In the words of our guests

"Everyone must do this at least once in his/her lifetime. Amazing crew, relaxing experience. ... the first two days on the boat gave me the peace and help me to get rid of all the stress and tension..."Matteo G

We're somewhat of an oddity in the sailing holiday world.

There are very few other yachting companies who offer a share-a-boat option in Greece or Turkey; even less who make a real effort to "matchmake" their groups, as we do.

For groups looking to charter a whole boat - there are hundreds of other yacht charter companies offering skippered & crewed sailing holidays. Are we pretty much the same as everyone else in this market?

Not really.

How we are different

We don’t fit any of the usual niches. Our Adventure Sailing concept falls somewhere in between bareboat-and-skipper and the traditional fully crewed yachts.

Our trips are active, participatory, "real" sailing adventures. We provide all the ingredients - the food, drink, local knowledge and sailing expertise; all you have to do is turn up and have fun! You won't be stepping on any toes if you want to sail the boat yourself - our skippers will be quite happy to let you do that (or show you how!) They won't dump you and disappear as soon as you get to port; they're still around to introduce you to our local buddies, organise land excursions, or lead you (astray) to our favourite local watering holes!

If you're with family/a partner and want some personal time to yourselves, that's fine too - our skippers have their own private living space, and no problems with taking a little "downtime" themselves.

Your floating home-from-home

In short, our SeaScape boats are a relaxed, casual atmosphere... like staying with a bunch of good friends.

Everything will be there and ready to go; no wasting precious vacation time provisioning/fueling/loading the boat, etc. You want a cold beer? - go to the fridge and grab one! Hungry? Make a snack - or better still - one for everyone!

Your skippers won't run around you like white-shirted servants, but they WILL be there to look after you like visiting relatives - ready, willing and more than able to help you have the best vacation ever!

What's included

The Bottom Line: What will it cost?

Our philosophy is very simple; our costs are as inclusive as we can sensibly make them. We figure most people would prefer to know ahead of time what the total vacation cost is; not have to worry about little additional surprises along the way!

On our Adventure Sailing trips, once you get on the boat, everything on board is covered. We provide provisions for breakfasts, lunches, soft drinks - we even do complimentary Happy Hour drinks on us ! The only thing we don't include is dinners - in Greece & Turkey, the local taverna experience ashore is much too much fun to miss! In Thailand, the anchorages can be more remote; so our amazing Thai chef will cook dinner for us on board about half the time - when there are little local places to eat ashore, we go join the local ambiance!

So unlike the more usual yacht charter deal - there's no unexpected extras to catch you out halfway ("Oh, you didn't realise how much this marina costs?" or "That'll be another 300 euros for the fuel bill, thank you very much!" ).

With the more usual bareboat-plus-skipper arrangement, you're up for everything else - fuel, water, mooring, insurance, local taxes, food, on board bar bills - even the skipper's food and drink!

SeaScape's philosophy is that nasty $$ surprises don't do anything for a relaxing vacation - and we emphatically don't work that way. We'd prefer you to eat, drink and be merry - without worrying how much extra it will cost!
