Datca

Often our first port of entry into Turkey for our "combo" trips. . .Datca is a great introduction to the country! It's a smallish town with a lively and fun waterfront—and of course, the ubiquitous carpet shops everywhere! There's also little places with beautiful handcrafted, unusual jewelry—great bargains in silver and semi-precious stones.

Happily, Datca hasn't yet been swamped with the mass tourism which has invaded the bigger, more well-known Turkish coastal towns, so the people are still genuinely friendly and love to see the yachties come sailing into their little port.
